Beamish is a world famous open air museum which brings the history of north-east England to life at its 1820s Pockerley, 1900s Town, 1900s Pit Village, 1940s Farm, 1950s Town, and 1950s Spain’s Field Farm exhibit areas.   • Columbia flat-bed press, dated 1840. Used to print the first papers in the Hartlepools and is the original press used by the firm of Ord and Printing Ltd. when they were established in 1840

  • Stanhope printing press Number 67, manual. Plan cast iron upright, frame bolted to 'T' shaped wooden base

  • Star intaglio printing press used for copperplates
