The Beck Isle Museum of Rural Life is a social history museum in Pickering, North Yorkshire, England. The museum features period business displays including the shops of a barber, blacksmith, chemist, cobbler, cooper, gentleman's draper, dairy, and a hardware store. There is also a printing house where visitors can learn about early methods of printing and see a historic, hand-operated printing press in action. Visitors can have a go at some basic printing techniques in the museum's Activity Room and create their own lino prints. This provides an opportunity to develop drawing skills, gain inspiration from the artefacts in the museum, as well as linking to the theme of historical inventions.
